RUMOR: HALO PREQUEL TO BE UNVEILED AT XBOX REVEAL?

A new rumor is floating around the web stating that Microsoft will unveil a new game in the Halo franchise… and it’s not Halo 5. According to the rumor the game will drop this fall as a launch title for the Nextbox. The story, while not quite an original story, will let you play various missions from Master Chief’s pre-Halo career. It is also said to feature some form of squad based co-op. We are being told to think “Spartan Ops on steroids.

Halo seems like they’re trying to catch up to cod and steal some of their money. One halo every year? Prepare for the quality to drop, if halo 4 is any indication

Whyyy does this have to come out on a day where I work 230 to 9? Damn it’s only 7 and I’m already tired. What an awesome fucking weekend. At least my paycheck will look good. Is it bad that I still haven’t even touched the 2nd season of Spartan ops? What’s even worse is that I would rather rent out black ops 2 again. I’m not really excited for the new maps either. It’s just been in the corner for almost a month. And I just wanna rent out more shit

It’s nice at the start of a game, leaving your teammates in a 7 on 3 from the start (Shut your bitch mouth, I was on the one with 7). You mean to tell me your system works when the first 3 to 4 minutes it was a 7 vs 3 match? And then, 2 other people leave, leaving one person by himself? And you can’t find a SINGLE party to give him assistance so he doesn’t quit? Not even one freaking person? I’m half tempted to turn back time and just play Animal Crossing over this poor excuse for multiplayer. Ohh but I went 6 and 0. Awesome for my K/D right? Sure. But I don’t want to get it higher that way. That’s pitiful if that’s all you care about too. That game was boring as shit. For 6 whole minutes, you found NO ONE looking for a match to help the poor kid out? Ridiculous. So game over, since he didn’t want to get massacred. Good choice. Fuck your money grabbing game. I can’t wait til Ni No Kuni comes out. I wonder if I should just go play Uncharted 3. Not impressed. Like always

So we’re voting. Comes up Complex (which does suck dick as a map). Teammate of ours, a no life 128 bitch decides to quit. I’m assuming it was because he “sucked” at the map. We played an entire, FULL slayer match, for the entire amount of time. NEVER got another teammate. What’s even better, is that our other teammate, decided not to play for half the damn match. Better than that? The other team was a bunch of camping invisi fags that can’t snipe and camp without it. And if you think I’m bitching because my oh so important k/d took a hit (yeah, that’s sarcasm), it didn’t. 26 and 15 isn’t a hit, it’s a plus. The point is, that it’s been well over 2 months since release. And their systems still don’t work. What is it, 12 or 15 minute matches for normal slayer? And we didn’t get a SINGLE teammate in that time span? Ridiculous. Your multiplayer shouldn’t be a work in progress 2 months after release. It shouldn’t have been a work in progress when it WAS released in the first place. Just keep running this franchise into the ground 343. I enjoy playing other games more so now.

It doesn’t even say anything after the game is over? Damn I was proud of that and wanted to show it off. I stop playing for 3 weeks and get rewarded with a perfection. In Big team. Yeah that felt awesome. Too bad you have to camp a general area to get one now. I’ll probably go back to Assassin’s Creed tomorrow. Unless I keep doing well and it begins to feel like Halo. Unlikely

I have no idea how to do that whole ‘Continue Reading’ thing. So if this gets a little lengthy, I apologize.If I would’ve put as much time into the new Halo as I usually would have, I would’ve been the highest level (130) possible already. Then what? I would’ve had absolutely no reason to play it anymore, other than Spartan Ops. But no, I’m only a level 60. Thank god. Modern shooters suck. And since 343 wanted a piece of the shit cake, full of money, they “evolved” Halo to be just another shooter like the others. The results were an unfinished campaign (no theater for it), a CoD ending (one grenade brings down the most powerful being the Halo Universe? No), and an easy hardest difficulty. When you can beat the campaign, twice, on the hardest difficulty, it shows they cared more about the multiplayer. Which isn’t a lot, considering that’s sub-par as well. A month and a week or 2 in, and they’ve already had to release 2 different updates. I don’t mean the matchmaking crap where they throw in some new playlists. I mean the ones that you were forced to download to play on Live. Their map pack wasn’t all that great. And Season pass and LE holders had to wait at least half a day to be able to download it for free, like they were supposed to be able to. Now, rather than continue to play this, I moved my attention elsewhere. And damn was it a good idea. In the time I could’ve gotten to 130, I beat the original Klonoa, Pokemon Black, Arkahm City, Phantom Hourglass, and Dishonored. No to mention I finished 3 or 4 animes and started another. So I think I owe 343 some thanks. Thanks for waking me up and showing me that putting hours upon hours into one game is meaningless. I would much rather spend my time in other worlds and stories than to play some lack luster multiplayer. You are not a gamer if you only play one single game. Or, in my opinion, one single genre. Thank you for making me realize this. I’ll still play your game. But significantly less than I played Bungie’s

Halo 4 First Week Stats Revealed

Nice I’m in the 6%. Legendary was easy as shit. No where close to the difficulty they made it out to be. Pitiful that more people played multiplayer rather than the campaign

Had a birthday party today, and I played H4 with some old friends. And, surprise surprise, they share the same views I do on the game. The same thing was echoed by everybody “too much like COD”. Now, to it’s credit, it’s not just like COD, it’s just be came a modern shooter, like COD, Battlefield, Crysis, and whatever other ones I left out. They just wanted to money grab, which is apparent in the new play style, and releasing an unfinished game, just to come out a week before Black Ops 2. I’ve never had a problem with camping in this game, until now. Slayer is just a camp fest, more often than not. They still do not match people up according to skill, rather than rank. The join in, join out really hurts it. Me and a buddy join in one, down by 8 kills. Not bad right? Well the only other guy on our team eventually quits, and now it’s 2 on 4. After coming up, and using an awesome strategy, we then get paired with a guy that just wants to do whatever he wants, charging in all the time. And the other? An AFC (away from controller). Didn’t play the entire game. We got our asses kicked. Regardless of how stupid our spartans are, who can’t pick up grenades, it’s still grenades all the time, first thing before any shots fired. Unless it’s long distance, then it’s whoever see who first gets the kill. Well, most of the time. If you start shooting a sniper guy, and then he shoots you in the face, because it doesn’t zoom out when getting hit. I liked it for campaign, since MC is freaking awesome and knows war. Spartan IV’s get it? Well, it is a simulation, so they really aren’t actually getting hurt, so I can understand where it comes from. Objective? Fucking awesome. Unless you get paired with a team that just goes for kills, since this game makes it so you can just play for you and screw your entire team and still get a crapton of points at the end. Thankfully, that doesn’t happen too often. It’s funny as shit throwing the ball at a guy who is shooting you. They get all pissed off when you kill them. That gets a ton of laughs. All in all, it brought back a lot of nostalgia. Playing split screen, yelling at the tv, giving each other a hard time when the other screws up. So I’ll stick with it, because to it’s credit, it is addicting. But also because no one is going to be on Reach or 3 anymore. Another guy brought up another problem, with the audio being less than amazing. The new guy isn’t bad, but it’s obvious Marty was better. I really wasn’t paying attention to the music in campaign, trying to concentrate on beating it. But if it didn’t stand out, it wasn’t that great. The flood conversion noise sounds like someone slaughtered a pig. The only time I actually noticed the music was the last part of the campaign, which was well done. Just not as epic as Marty could’ve done. And I’m already in the 30 ranks? Jeez is this going to be completed fast. I know I have 8 specializations to do, and I hope that takes me awhile. I sure as hell hope they’re isn’t a damn prestige. Couldn’t live up to the hype. And I didn’t even look at a lot of stuff

It sounds like a lot of people believe that a lot of Bungie employees jumped ship to 343i to work on the new Halo trilogy. Um no. It was a handful. Secondly, they already REPLACED Firefight, according to Anoj. All the things that will appear on the title screen have already been confirmed. Nothing about Firefight at all. Instead, Spartan Ops will take it’s place. And that’s all fine and dandy that 343 was created for solely Halo. That doesn’t mean they know what the direction of multiplayer should be. Hell Bungie made Reach the way they wanted Halo to be in the first place, and what happened? People hated it. And ok the things they’re adding work in other games. So does that mean you want Halo to be like them? I enjoy Halo because it ISN’T like other shooters. I don’t want a lot, or really anything from other shooters just copied into it. Make sense?

For one, the franchise is now in the hands of a completely different study, comprised of mostly fans. They could easily just make it a fan service and completely crew it up.

Another thing you forgot; how bad did Reach do? How many people traded it back in and just went back to Halo 3 because it was ‘too different’? And what is Halo 4’s multiplayer shaping up to do be? The TU sucked, completely unbalanced the gameplay when it first came out. And it still falls short in comparison with normal Reach settings. Everything was balanced and working great. Armor Lock had to be dulled to the point where it ‘flows’ with a run and gun shooter.  God forbid you think of tactics on how to take out a player when he’s using something IN THE GAME to his advantage. And of course they had to take it out for 4 because of all the bitching it got on the forums because people complained rather than figured ways to counter it. After you realize a player is using it, combat him in a DIFFERENT way. Or is that too hard? Wait what does that sound like? Fan service to those too dumb to combat it

So a new armor ability is being added, Spartan points (which come from CoD), customizable loadouts (CoD) unlocking different guns and whatever else by leveling up (CoD), and joining in and out of games that already started (CoD, again). So I ask the people who think the multiplayer will be great; Doesn’t it sound too different already?
